iPeople Solutions is seeking an experienced EHC Plan Writer to join our team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires the ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality EHC plans following annual reviews.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will be highly organized, with strong attention to detail and the capacity to meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement the school's SEN strategy and policy, driving pupil progress and attainment.
  2. Conduct thorough assessments of pupils with SEN, identifying needs and monitoring progress through observations and meetings with teachers and parents.
  3. Collaborate with classroom teachers, the school leadership team, parents, and external agencies to develop, implement, and monitor individual support/learning plans.
  4. Provide regular updates on pupil progress through written reports and meetings with parents, ensuring informed decision-making.
  5. Maintain effective relationships with professionals outside of the school, including psychologists, health and social care providers, speech and language therapists, and occupational therapists.
  6. Offer guidance and training to classroom teachers on supporting pupils with SEN, promoting best practices and strategies.
  7. Support teachers in developing schemes of work and learning programmes for pupils with SEN, enhancing educational outcomes.
  8. Manage and advise on the school budget and resources for SEN provision, ensuring efficient use of funds.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date pupil records, analysing data to inform strategies and interventions.
  10. Lead and manage SEN teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to improve pupil progress and attainment.
Requirements:
  1. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in Special Educational Needs (SEN), education, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in EHC Plan Writing, with a strong track record of producing high-quality plans.
  3. Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Strong organizational skills, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  5. Up-to-date knowledge of national and local policies related to SEN.
Salary:

£52,000 - £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)
