Care Leader for Female Nursing Home in Birmingham

At Saint John of God Hospitaller Services, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional care and support to the individuals who reside at our nursing home. We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to take on a leadership role, overseeing shifts and supervising staff to ensure that our residents receive the highest standard of care.
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the religious ethos of our community while maintaining a quality-driven and holistic service. They will work collaboratively with the Sisters, senior management, and staff team to achieve this goal.
We estimate the salary for this position to be around £35,000-£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes annual leave entitlement of 33 days (pro-rata) and various benefits such as an Employee Assistance Programme, Auto Enrolment Pension Scheme, and Health Cash Plan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead shifts and supervise staff to promote a positive and respectful environment
- Assess progress of internal protocols and personalized care plans
- Manage medication procedures and oversee health and safety standards
- Undertake supervision, training, and development of staff
- Foster a culture of hospitality, compassion, respect, justice, and trust
Requirements:
- Degree-qualified Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Conversant with CQC standards and regulations, safeguarding, and health and safety procedures
- Able to manage and assess progress of internal protocols and personalized care plans
- Flexible to undertake night and day shifts
