Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Director to lead our Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) team at Bicycle Therapeutics. As a key member of our Quantitative Pharmacology group, you will be responsible for providing scientific leadership and expertise to support the development of our innovative therapies.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Scientific Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and oversight to the DMPK team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality data and insights to inform our drug development programs.
  2. Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and reporting of DMPK studies, including interactions with external Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and internal project stakeholders.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including discovery, development, and regulatory, to ensure seamless integration of DMPK data and expertise.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all DMPK-related activities are conducted in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  5. Team Development: Mentor and develop junior staff members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their careers.
Requirements
  1. Education: PhD in a relevant scientific discipline, such as drug metabolism, pharmacology, or pharmaceutical sciences.
  2. Experience: Significant experience working on DMPK drug discovery and/or development projects, with a track record of successful delivery.
  3. Expertise: In-depth understanding of DMPK science, with additional knowledge of related disciplines.
  4. Problem-Solving: Demonstrated expertise in DMPK problem-solving across drug discovery.
  5. Communication: Excellent organization and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Peptide-Macrocycles Experience: Previous experience working on peptide-macrocycles would be an advantage.
  2. Radio-Pharm Projects: Nice-to-have: experience on radio-pharm projects.
