Job Title: Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel/Contracts Manager to join our team at NEC Software Solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a key role in our legal department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Negotiate and manage complex commercial contracts with customers and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and respond to bids, providing legal and commercial risk assessments and recommending mitigation strategies.
  • Advise on contract law and risk analysis, drafting and negotiating contracts, including contract variations.
  • Manage contract documentation and templates, providing training to business units as needed.
  • Deal with day-to-day enquiries from the business, providing clear and concise legal advice.
  • Assist with disputes and litigation, liaising with external counsel as required.
  • Engage with sales and project management teams to ensure compliance with business processes and procedures.
  • Support and develop junior members of the team.
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of complex commercial contracts and contract law.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably in a technology or software industry.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong IT skills and ability to learn new systems.
