About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a Specialist Community Nursing Qualification and hold an Independent Prescribing Qualification (V300) or be willing to undertake this within 6-12 months in post. You will work alongside the Operational Team Lead to ensure staff are competent in their role and new staff are inducted and supported to reach competency required for their role.
Main Responsibilities- Ensure care in their locality is based on sound assessment and care planning processes.
- Develop and implement effective care pathways to support patients with complex needs.
- Provide education opportunities and training for all staff and students, including pre- and post-registration nursing students.
- Develop district nursing practice in a defined area, developing and using relationships with other primary care team members.
- Exercise leadership and judgment in the management of a Community Nursing Team to ensure good clinical practice and maintain high standards of care.

Requirements- NMC registered Nurse
- Specialist Community Practice qualification relevant to field of practice
- Experience in teaching and assessing both pre and post-reg nursing
- Act as clinical expert in the field of community nursing
