Job Title: Clinical Health Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Health Psychologist to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing specialist clinical psychology input to the Pain Management Service and wider multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialist adult psychology services across the Pain Service Pathways and within the Clinical Health Psychology Service.
  • Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, intervention, advice, and consultation for patients, other health professionals, and carers.
  • Contribute to the provision of integrated multidisciplinary care across the inpatient and outpatient pathways.
  • Train and support multidisciplinary team colleagues in psychologically informed care.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary team promotion of patient need, clinical symptoms, and approaches to care.
  • Engage in own professional and leadership development, including reflective practice.
  • Undertake research, audit, and service evaluation projects.
Requirements:
  • Doctoral level training in clinical psychology, as accredited by the BPS/HCPC.
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Experience of specialist psychological assessment, formulation, and treatment of clients across various care settings.
  • Knowledge of current psychological theory and practice as applied to physical health.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
  • Experience of working within a physical health population and with individuals living with persistent pain and/or long-term conditions.
  • Post-graduate Diploma in Neuropsychology, accredited by the BPS/HCPC.
  • History of leadership training and experience.
