Strategic Commercial Manager for Channel Growth

We are looking for a Commercial Planning Manager to join our dynamic team working across High Street Discounters. This role is focused on unlocking strategic growth priorities for the HSD channel, driving accountability across all Grocery and Sweet Treats categories. You will have a key role in business partnering with the Customer Director, Account Managers, Marketing teams, and the broader supply chain to achieve channel objectives.
This role requires a proactive individual with strong priority setting skills, able to explain complexity with simplicity. As a strategic thinker with sharp commercial awareness, you will be a confident communicator at all levels and have a track record of delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop brand and channel strategies to deliver budgeted sales, profit, and NPD targets
- Drive execution of promotional strategy and guidelines across all brands for the HSD channel
- Improve promotional return on investment for brands and categories
- Analyse and review business forecasts and key issues in the business planning process
- Design pack, price, and promotional architecture specific to the HSD channel
- Commercialise Channel-relevant NPD, including pricing, promotional support, and execution through the sales team
- Integrate Sales and Customer strategies into brand plans
- Create sell stories and decks for NPD for the HSD channel
