Job Title: Capital Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Capital Project Manager to lead the delivery of several major capital regeneration projects and programmes for our client.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of multiple capital projects to time and budget, ensuring good quality design and a sustainable end product.
  • Support the Head of Capital Delivery in securing the continuous efficiency and success of the department through effective leadership, project management, master-planning, financial management, and ambition to bring about change.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects to time and budget, ensuring good quality design and a sustainable end product.
  • Provide advice and guidance to Project and Programme Boards as appropriate to ensure the Council discharges its statutory duties and delivers its policy objectives.
  • Support the Head of Capital Delivery on partnership working, ensuring the effective engagement of all end users and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Relevant professional qualification, such as Prince 2 Practitioner, APMP, RICS, or relevant experience/other professional qualification.
  • Track record of achievement at a management level in a similarly large and complex organisation.
  • Experience of successfully leading and delivering large capital projects to time and to budget.
  • Experience of working closely with the construction and development sectors, registered housing providers, and key public sector agencies.
  • Experience of community consultation in respect of major capital projects.
