Job Overview

South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neurointerventional Radiologist to join our team. As a leading provider of specialist care in the North East and beyond, we are committed to delivering world-class services to our patients.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing expert interventional neuroradiology services, including regular elective sessions and emergency cases.
  • Contributing to diagnostic reporting and participating in multidisciplinary teams (MDTs).
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to expand our mechanical thrombectomy service and enhance patient care.
  • Participating in clinical audit and quality improvement initiatives.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Full GMC registration and FRCR or equivalent specialist qualification.
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent, with eligibility for entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or within 6 months of appointment.
  • Experience across the breadth of neurointerventional procedures and evidence of clinical audit.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good leadership skills and a commitment to training and continuing medical education (CME).
