Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our respiratory medicine services.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will have a strong background in respiratory medicine, with experience in managing complex respiratory conditions. You will be responsible for leading elective interventional sessions, managing emergency cases, and contributing to diagnostic reporting and multidisciplinary team meetings.

Person Specification

  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCR or equivalent specialist qualification
  • Relevant CCT or equivalent (equivalence must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
  • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC

Desirable Criteria

  • Training in appraisal techniques
  • Experience in team working outside work
