Consultant Psychiatrist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at The Julian Hospital in Norwich. As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of our Older Peoples Mental Health Inpatient Services.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in mental health, with experience in working with older adults and those with significant frailty. You will be responsible for working with your Consultant and management colleagues, service users, and stakeholders in the planning, development, and management of services.

You will also contribute to improving quality in the service and work with the clinical team to achieve agreed performance targets. Additionally, you will support the management and training of junior medical staff.

Requirements
  • Entry on the GMC Register
  • Approved Clinician Status
  • Section 12(2) Approval under the Mental Health Act
  • Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
