As a Senior Operations Manager for Mechanical Services, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the site services operation and workshop management of our busy turnkey facility.

This newly created position is designed to grow the service and support of our client's turkey bulk materials handling products and international partners' machines through technical service, auditing, upgrades, and parts across NZ, Australia, and the Pacific islands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish strong relationships with clients, sub-contractors, and suppliers, ensuring future partnerships.
  • Oversee day-to-day supervision, resourcing, maintenance planning, and support across the Auckland mechanical team.
  • E nsure that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Provide on-site installation, validation, training, and commissioning of instruments.
Requirements
  • Mechanical/Engineering Trade with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Strong administrative and record-keeping skills with the ability to use a range of software/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Proven experience within a mechanical service/mechanical contractor/site-based position, preferably in heavy industry, bulk materials handling, or large scope manufacturing leadership.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. This is a customer-facing role designed to increase the flow of service work to your trades team.
  • Solid knowledge of Mechanical (and/or Fabrication) Engineering disciplines.
  • Experience within a Lean environment is highly regarded.
