Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Outreach Nurse Specialist to join our Therapeutic Apheresis Services team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting lifesaving treatments for patients across the region.
Main Responsibilities:- Perform therapeutic apheresis and cell collection procedures in paediatrics and adults.
- Plan and deliver nursing care for patients/donors, providing advice and support as necessary.
- Work within a total quality management system, maintaining nursing practice standards and ensuring best practice and clinical effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders to support patient-centred care and quality and safety.
- Provide clinical support and supervision to less experienced staff and student nurses.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, working irregular hours and overnight stays when required. We offer a range of benefits, including 27 days annual leave (pro rata for part-time) plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 29 days after 5 years' service and to 33 days after 10 years.
