Job Title: Product Assurance Engineer

Job Summary:

EnerSys is a leading provider of stored energy solutions for industrial applications. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Assurance Engineer to join our team and contribute to the success of our space-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a Project Product Assurance (PA) Engineer for product assurance requirements on assigned space projects throughout the project lifecycle (design, manufacture, test, and delivery).
  • Work with a dedicated Project PA Manager and a team of colleagues from other disciplines (e.g., Project Management, Project Engineer, MAIT) to support production of documentation and hardware for delivery to the customer.
  • Support the Project Product Assurance Manager for the assigned project(s) and ensure timely completion of assigned project documentation to the necessary standards held by ABSL.
  • Responsible for on-time and on-quality Product Assurance activities delivered within EnerSys ABSL.
  • Support prevention, investigation, and resolution of non-conformances on assigned projects.
  • Responsible for schedule adherence of product assurance tasks on the designated project(s) and support product assurance inputs to risk management of the project.
  • Responsible for the timely completion of assigned project documentation to the necessary standards held by ABSL.
  • Responsible for the production of project documentation to meet internal PA requirements (e.g. NCRs, EIDPs, Inspection Reports).
  • Responsible for in-build and in-test inspection points and sign-off of associated reports or checkpoints.
  • Responsible for the production of specialist Product Assurance analysis and documentation (PM&P, EEE, RAMS, Safety) as agreed with the Project PA Manager.
  • Support department cost reduction and improvement strategy and implementation.
  • Accountable for personal time-management on project tasks and participating in assigned training for the role.
  • Accountable for inputs to Continuous Personal Development targets and completing weekly time sheets, overtime request, and annual leave forms.
  • Responsible for clear communication of technical issues within the project team and internal EnerSys ABSL communications on Product Assurance matters.
  • Experience producing inspection documentation and an understanding of configuration control principles and associated project documentation.
  • A keen interest in working on space projects and a commitment to accurate reporting and root cause analysis of problems.
  • A desire to be responsible for product quality and mission risk reduction in accordance with customer specifications.
  • An ability to work in a multi-project environment and support team members working on multiple projects.
  • Strong skills with MS Office / Office 365 suite of programmes.
