About the Role

Rullion is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to deliver quality management for a large-scale engineering project. This role is essential in ensuring that all products, including manufactured items and information/documents/skills, meet the quality expectations of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement Quality Plans: Create a comprehensive Project Quality Management Plan covering both tangible (manufactured items) and intangible products (information/documentation/skills).
  2. Quality Management System: Establish a project Quality Management System aligned with existing organizational policies, procedures, and processes.
  3. Technical Advice: Provide expert advice on quality and technical matters such as materials, bonding, specifications, codes, and standards.
  4. Supplier Quality Requirements: Influence and create project-specific QA/QC supplier quality requirement specifications.
  5. Quality Criteria: Ensure all product requirements, specifications, and designs include suitable and effective quality criteria.
  6. FMEA Participation: Contribute to the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEA's (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
  7. Test Procedures: Develop product test procedures, control plans, and inspection and Test Plans.
  8. Inspection Management: Plan and manage inspections and surveillance activities on-site and at suppliers to verify product quality.
  9. Quality Reviews: Plan, prepare, and lead product quality reviews.
  10. Performance Metrics: Develop and monitor quality performance metrics and reports, presenting them to the appropriate meetings.
  11. Training and Awareness: Provide training and awareness activities to promote the project quality management system and ensure adherence.
  12. Sub-contractor Documentation: Review sub-contractor documentation.
  13. Quality Log Maintenance: Maintain a project quality log to record all quality checking activities.
Accountabilities
  1. Documentation Compliance: Follow Rullion's Integrated Delivery Process and maintain required project documentation in compliance with Quality Assurance requirements.
  2. Tender and Contract Assistance: Assist with equipment and service tenders and purchase contracts as needed.
  3. Budgetary Responsibility: Manage TPI and inspection service contract costs.
Qualifications
  1. Degree: A degree or equivalent in an engineering/science discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience and Skills
  1. Quality Management Systems: Knowledge and experience of ISO9001 based quality management systems.
  2. Inspection Management: Experience managing quality assurance/control inspections within a workshop and/or manufacturing environment.
  3. Project Lifecycle: Experience in the full project lifecycle from manufacturer to Engineering procurement contractor to operator.
  4. Industrial Standards: Knowledge and experience of industrial standards for fabrication and welding.
  5. NDT Proficiency: Good understanding of NDT techniques such as MPI, DPI, UT & RAD.
  6. Quality Records: Proficient in specifying Lifetime Quality Records content and approving final packs.
  7. QA Grading: Experience in system quality level and component QA grading.
