Job Summary

The University of Leeds is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Deputy Pro Dean for Student Education. This is a key leadership position within the Faculty of Social Sciences, responsible for supporting the delivery of an outstanding student experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deputise for the Pro Dean for Student Education and provide leadership and support to the Faculty's student education activities.
  • Work closely with the Academic Leads for Student Education to drive a strong vision and strategy for student education in the Faculty of Social Sciences.
  • Chair Faculty committees and represent the Faculty at University groups.
  • Take specific responsibility for Student Success and the Faculty's delivery of the Student Success KPIs.

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with a track record of delivering high-quality student education initiatives.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and make informed decisions that support the Faculty's goals and objectives.
  • Experience of working in a higher education environment, with a strong understanding of the sector's challenges and opportunities.
