Job Summary:
Capstone Property Recruitment is seeking an exceptional Executive Design Director to lead our client's Interior Design & Architecture Studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the creative output of the design team, ensuring that all work is delivered to impeccable standards, on time, and within resource allocations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive design innovation and inspire the team to incorporate unexpected design details, craft, and antiques.
- Support the Creative Director in setting and leading the studio's design vision, ensuring that the studio remains at the forefront of design.
- Filter the design vision into projects, encouraging both clients and the design team to be ambitious.
Leadership and Management:
- Lead client relationships and project presentations.
- Support Directors with new business enquiries.
- Understand the team's capabilities and strengths, ensuring project deadlines are met through structured project reviews.
Design and Innovation:
- Lead the stylistic direction of projects, producing and overseeing the production of immaculate design presentations.
- Develop the design team in line with studio standards and requirements.
- Extensive experience in bespoke luxury furniture and joinery design.
Sales and External Relationships:
- Lead pitches with the Directors to drive the design vision of the studio.
- Secure repeat clients and new sales through industry networking and market intelligence.
- Advocate for the studio's work and champion the brand.
Problem Solving and Quality Control:
- Identify risk factors early and employ a solutions-based approach rooted in good judgment.
- Ensure all design presentations, site installations, FF&E items, and dressing are executed to the highest standard.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
