Used Vehicle Sales Manager

About the Role

Thrifty Car & Van Rental is seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Sales Manager to join their team. As a key member of the sales team, you will be responsible for maximizing sales opportunities and residual value of sale-qualifying vehicles.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in the automotive industry, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You should also be able to analyse market trends and recommend pricing strategies to the Director.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage disposal plans for all vehicles
  • Monitor and progress vehicle sales within Service Level Agreements (SLA) across multiple sales channels
  • Analyse market trends and vehicle movements
  • Recommend pricing strategies and disposal channels to the Director
  • Prepare and format pricing files for presentation to the Board of Directors
  • Perform additional ad-hoc tasks as required by the Line Manager
Required Skills and Experience
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate the sales team
  • Experience or interest in the automotive industry, particularly used vehicles, manufacturers and models
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to analyse market trends and recommend pricing strategies
  • Flexibility to adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
