About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Director to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our Sales and Marketing directorate, you will play a leading part in delivering sales growth and meeting our annual financial targets.

As an Account Director, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our major customers, identifying and winning new business opportunities, and driving growth and revenue targets in the First Aid and Health & Safety markets.

You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build trust and rapport with our customers, and your ability to think creatively and strategically will help you to identify new business opportunities and drive growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively maintain and build positive relationships with major customers, resulting in St John Ambulance being the preferred supplier of first aid and health & safety products and services.
  • Grow the business with major accounts, responding to pre-qualification questionnaires, submitting bids/proposals, preparing tenders, and identifying opportunities to improve and widen services to customers in line with business strategy.
  • Contribute to the overall achievement of both workplace training revenue and St John Ambulance supplies, winning and building new major accounts, and retaining and growing the existing customer base.
  • Establish and implement contact plans for all major accounts, including virtual/face-to-face visits, phone calls, and customer satisfaction reviews.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to be educated to GCSE level or equivalent, including Maths and English, and have experience of building rapport and developing sustainable relationships in a B2B environment with major corporate customers. You will also need to demonstrate experience of winning, retaining, and growing new customers in a face-to-face environment and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
