We are seeking a highly skilled Configuration Management Service Engineer to join our specialist security team at BT Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering and operating brilliant services for our special customers, working to contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Service Level Targets (SLTs).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver and operate services for our special customers, ensuring high-quality results and meeting SLAs and SLTs.
- Work collaboratively with our onsite BT Service Team to achieve exceptional results.
- Responsible for Cabling Infrastructure Configuration updates and Firestopping records within Microsoft Access databases.
- Lead on Existing and New Firestopping installations, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
- Install, terminate, test, fault rectify, and patch Copper and Fibre Infrastructure Cabling.
- Install and repair AV equipment, ensuring seamless integration.
- Support the team in assessing customer requirements, planning, and installing solutions.
- Lay and connect underground cables, ensuring safety and quality standards.
- Perform proactive Maintenance on various services, working alongside 3rd Party Suppliers.
- Raise, monitor, and close Service tickets as part of the service team Helpdesk duties.
- Able to work with minimal supervision, demonstrating independence and self-motivation.
- 'Can do' attitude, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills, engaging with team members, managers, suppliers, and customers.
- Willingness and drive to learn new things, constantly developing skills and knowledge.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
- GCSE Level (or equivalent)– including Maths & English.
- City and Guilds Level 3 (or equivalent) in Structured (Data and Fibre) Infrastructure Cabling and Testing.
- Experience of the installation, termination, and testing of Infrastructure Cabling.
- IT Skills (Office 365) including Microsoft Access.
Due to the sensitive nature of this role, you will be required to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) level Security Clearance. The role is subject to you gaining and keeping the necessary level of security clearance needed to undertake your work.
