Job Details

Job Role:
Special education assistants are sought by Crowdys Hill to work with pupils who have moderate learning difficulties and complex needs. The successful candidates will provide specialist support to teachers and assist in the daily activities of students.

Responsibilities:
  • Greet pupils from their buses and bring them into school
  • Settle the class into their tutor group
  • Support teachers in ensuring all pupils can access their curriculum
  • Movement and handling support of pupils as needed
  • Personal and medical care for pupils as needed - training provided
  • Supervise pupils at break and lunchtimes
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure all pupils are supported in school
  • Escort pupils onto their buses to go home

Requirements:
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting children with special needs. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils. A calm and reliable attitude, along with common sense, is essential for this position.
