**Job Overview:** Academic Behaviour Coach
We are seeking an experienced Academic Behaviour Coach to join our team at Protocol Education Ltd. The successful candidate will work with a SEN pupil in a primary school setting, providing one-to-one support to help them manage their behaviour and thrive academically and socially.
The role involves working closely with the class teacher and SEN team to implement strategies and provide support to help the pupil manage their behaviour, stay engaged with lessons, and build positive relationships with their peers.
Main Responsibilities:
- Implement strategies to support the pupil's behaviour and academic development, including Individual Behaviour Plans (IBPs)
- Use positive reinforcement and de-escalation techniques to support the pupil during moments of frustration or difficulty
- Promote social inclusion and encourage the pupil to interact positively with peers
- Collaborate with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff members to support the pupil's academic and personal development
- Record the pupil's behaviour and academic progress
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children with behavioural or emotional needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting children with a variety of needs
Salary: £29,000 - £33,000 per annum, depending on experience
