About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Autism Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support for pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across EYFS, KS1 & KS2.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support to pupils with ASD, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals to develop and implement tailored programs that cater to the diverse needs of our pupils.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of belonging among all students.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A passion for working with children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the capacity to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think outside the box and develop innovative solutions.
