The estimated annual salary for this position is £43,940, based on a standard 48-hour contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Sous Chef in leading the kitchen team, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations and upholding The Savoy standards.
  • Collaborate with the Jr. Sous Chef, providing guidance and assistance to achieve kitchen excellence.
Accountabilities
  1. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable uniform, setting an example for teamwork and personal presentation.
  2. Coordinate team efforts, fostering cohesion and ensuring individual performance meets expectations.
  3. Oversee all kitchen activities, working closely with Sous chefs to ensure smooth operation and timely decision-making.
  4. Effectively communicate important information regarding bookings and team movements.
  5. Deliver comprehensive cooking demonstrations for multiple outlets, highlighting culinary expertise.
  6. Evaluate and taste prepared dishes, guaranteeing adherence to health and safety protocols.
  7. Identify potential health and hygiene risks, escalating them promptly and engaging in ongoing training.
  8. Verify incoming supplies, manage inventory, and coordinate logistical arrangements for seasonal menus.
  9. Promote cross-functional engagement by participating in external events, marketing initiatives, and employee development programs.
  10. Foster a culture of workplace safety by following established guidelines and actively participating in relevant training sessions.
  11. Achieve conformity with Food Acts, demonstrating commitment to industry regulations.
