Job Title: Head of Communication and Marketing

Hanson Search is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Communication and Marketing to join the World Nuclear Association's Senior Leadership team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading and delivering the Association's communication and marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive communication and marketing strategy that aligns with the Association's strategic objectives.
  2. Lead the Communication and Marketing team, empowering them with the leadership, development, and resources needed to deliver their roles.
  3. Develop and execute a cohesive communication and marketing strategy for all Association activities, targeting key media to ensure the Association's voice and message is heard.
  4. Maintain current and up-to-date awareness, knowledge, and understanding of external factors impacting the nuclear energy industry and/or the Association.
  5. Ensure the Association's crisis communication strategy is up-to-date, robust, and executed when required.
  6. Drive the Association's social media strategy, embracing the latest digital technologies and social media trends, to increase brand awareness and external engagement.
  7. Report on the performance of communication and marketing activities against agreed KPIs, demonstrating return on investment.

Qualifications and experience required:

  1. Bachelor's degree in communication, marketing, business, or related field.
  2. Proven track record of strong, successful leadership, gained within a marketing and communications environment.
  3. Professional experience of strategically developing digital communication channels: websites, social media, email marketing.
  4. Experience of brand advocacy and management.
  5. Professional knowledge of copyright laws, data protection, and privacy laws.
