Job Title: Head of Marketing and Communications

Join the Greater London Authority as a key member of our External Relations team, leading our Marketing and Campaigns function to deliver integrated campaigns and communications interventions that make a positive impact on Londoners' lives.

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced senior marketer to lead our team at City Hall, ensuring all Londoners are aware of the work of the Mayor of London and London Assembly. As Head of Marketing and Communications, you'll be responsible for developing and delivering strategic marketing plans that drive engagement, build brand awareness, and promote the Mayor's vision for a greener, safer, fairer, and more prosperous London.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans that align with the Mayor's priorities and objectives.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals to deliver integrated campaigns and communications interventions that engage Londoners and promote the Mayor's vision.
  • Work closely with the Head of Digital Communications, Creative, and Strategic Communications teams to develop and deliver best-practice integrated communications strategies.
  • Manage budgets and resources to deliver high-quality marketing campaigns that meet the needs of Londoners.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the GLA and our partners to ensure our efforts are coordinated and effective.
Requirements
  • Significant experience of leading marketing and communications teams in a complex organisation.
  • Strong track record of delivering social marketing initiatives and policy/issue-based campaigns.
  • Extensive experience of working with external partners and agencies to develop and deliver marketing campaigns.
  • Senior management experience and a strong track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams.
