This is an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge within a well-respected Internal Audit team at Mansfield District Council. The role allows you to gain valuable experience in supporting the Senior Auditor in reviewing services, providing timely assurance on the effectiveness of control frameworks and risk mitigations.

The successful candidate will have 20% of their working hours dedicated to upskilling and reskilling to work towards the Level 4 Internal Audit Practitioner Apprenticeship, furthering their career prospects within the field. As a hybrid role, some office working may be required, offering flexibility and a chance to contribute to a high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Senior Auditor to review services and provide opinions on the effectiveness of control frameworks
  • Communicating findings to senior management and councillors

To excel in this position, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be well-organised, and have strong IT skills. A genuine desire to learn and grow within a supportive environment is essential for success.
