About the Role

Mansfield District Council is offering a unique chance to become a skilled auditor through this trainee programme. As a Trainee Auditor, you will play a vital role in supporting our internal audit team and contributing to the delivery of high-quality services to our residents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To assist in evaluating corporate governance arrangements and identifying strategic risks.
  • To develop knowledge of internal audit standards, policies, and procedures.
  • To support anti-fraud initiatives and contribute to reviews and assessments.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with senior auditors and develop essential skills to provide expert advice on risk and control matters. You will also be responsible for undertaking examinations of accounts and providing audit opinions.
