We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at St Helens Day Case Theatre department. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team in providing safe, quality care for patients.

The successful candidate will be based in St Helens theatres where we offer flexible working requests and have a dedicated education team and clinical practice lead on site to support them in the role. No night shifts or on-call duties are required, but flexibility to work weekends (currently Saturdays) may be necessary. An Enhanced DBS check with barred lists for Adults & Children is required for this post.

Main Responsibilities
  • To supervise the development of clinical teams by creating a learning environment that fosters individual performance review.
  • To oversee the delegation of work within the team and monitor performance.
  • To work closely with the Theatre Operational Lead in managing key operational aspects of theatres and providing advice on all matters.
  • To establish strong working relationships with service users and encourage joint working to achieve continuous service improvement.
  • To effectively manage departmental budgets by coordinating the monitoring and review process of income and expenditure.

For this role, we estimate a salary range of £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, dependent on experience.

Requirements
  • Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC or HCPC registration.
  • Relevant diploma or degree, or working towards.
  • Teaching and assessing/mentoring qualification.
  • Related ENB/Theatre courses.
