About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individual to join our Food and Beverage Team at the Grand Central Hotel. As a Food and Beverage Service Assistant, you will be responsible for serving food and beverages to our guests, ensuring a high standard of service and meeting their needs and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring the highest standard of service and meeting their needs and expectations.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the service areas according to Hastings Standards.
  • Ensure all cash, charges, floats, and till procedures are carried out correctly.
  • Greet guests and respond to their queries.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are used in the correct manner and report any problems immediately.
  • Ensure the security of stock areas and report any breaches.
  • Be knowledgeable about the hotel offerings and proactive in the sale of these to guests.
  • Deal with guest concerns politely and efficiently, reporting them to the Supervisor/Manager on duty.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to ensure a harmonious working environment.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene policies and procedures.

About You

We would love you to have some similar previous experience, but this is not essential as our Food and Beverage Team will provide you with full training.

  • Good Command of English Language
  • Right to Work in the United Kingdom
  • Must be educated to GCSE level or the equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths
  • Must have excellent communication and basic numeracy skills
