Job Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and engaging individuals to join our team of Historic Characters. As a representative of the Black Country, you will breathe life into the stories of those who lived and worked in this fascinating region.

About the Role

You will be responsible for interacting with visitors, sharing authentic migration stories from the 1940s, 50's, and 60's, and bringing our 26-acre site to life through storytelling and performance.

We welcome applications from underrepresented groups and encourage anyone with knowledge and experience to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage knowledgeably and respectfully with visitors to reflect on lived experiences of the Black Country.
  • Develop and deliver engaging performances that bring our site to life.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A willingness to respond to training to ensure the authenticity of your stories.
  • Respectful adherence to our standards and expectations around visitor engagement.
