Historic Storyteller

At hireful, we are seeking an exceptional Historic Character to bring our 26-acre site to life by sharing captivating stories and experiences with our visitors. As a Historic Character, you will be the face of our museum, engaging with visitors, and reflecting on their lived experiences of the Black Country.

We are particularly interested in candidates who have knowledge and experience of the South Asian, Caribbean, Irish, German, Polish, and Italian heritage, and who can share authentic migration stories from the Black Country during the 1940s, 50s, and 60s. If you have a passion for storytelling, a willingness to respond to training, and a respectful adherence to our museum's standards and expectations, we would love to hear from you.

As a Historic Character, you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, work in a unique and dynamic environment, and be part of a supportive and inclusive work culture. You will also be part of our team of award-winning open-air museum staff, who are dedicated to inspiring your discovery of the Black Country.
