Territory Business Development Manager

£55,000 - £70,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our client's team as a Territory Business Development Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own accounts within a designated territory covering Poole, Bournemouth and surrounding areas.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement area business plans to maximise growth
  • Cold call potential customers to prospect for new business, gain and develop new accounts
  • Increase business within existing accounts
  • Maximise selling opportunities by analysis of customer menus, profiles, and needs
  • Complete administrative duties, including weekly reports, journey plans, expense reports, and sales plans
  • Contribute to collective team sales plans, company promotions and sales goals
  • Achieve set bonus targets
  • Attend and network at sales training events, corporate days, and trade shows
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Full, UK Driving licence
  • Ability to maximise selling opportunities through customer needs analysis, with the resilience to keep going
  • Ability to interpret and act on data to achieve customer solutions and drive fast turnaround
  • Excellent customer service, networking, and communication skills
  • Trusted character able and comfortable to work alone with minimum supervision
  • Computer literate
  • Good level of numeracy and English literacy skills
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour, strong interpersonal skills with an enthusiastic and flexible approach
  • Possession of a passion for food sales and knowledge of the catering industry is desirable
