About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Worker to join our Children's Community Clinical Support Team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality clinic facilitation services, ensuring the smooth running of outpatient clinics and meeting the needs of children and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Community Neurodevelopmental Paediatric Team in providing clinic facilitation services, including liaising with staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Obtain children's growth measurements and relevant observations to support clinical decision-making.
  • Work independently, maintaining the ability to escalate any concerns as needed.
  • Develop strong management, organisational, and time-management skills.
  • Act as a patient advocate, upholding privacy, dignity, and confidentiality throughout the care process.
  • Monitor patient satisfaction, proactively addressing and managing any issues that arise.
Person SpecificationQualifications & Education
  1. NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience working clinically with Children and Young People.
  2. GCSE Maths & English grade C or above, or level 2 numeracy skills and level 2 literacy skills.
Knowledge & Experience
  1. Significant experience of working with children and their families.
  2. Experience of working with children and families with health needs.
  3. A basic understanding of organisation of nursing care.
  4. Understanding of concept and application of confidentiality.
