Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced bookkeeper to join our team. As a key member of our accounting team, you will be responsible for providing tax advice and general bookkeeping services to our clients, including reconciliation and VAT.
Responsibilities:- Tax Returns and VAT: Prepare and submit accurate and timely tax returns for our clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Bookkeeping to TB: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for our clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Liaison with HMRC: Communicate with HMRC on behalf of our clients, ensuring that all tax obligations are met and any issues are resolved promptly.
- Client Support: Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their queries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Support: Assist junior team members and apprentices in their development, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Sage Knowledge: Proficiency in Sage accounting software, with the ability to use it to prepare financial reports and statements.
- Exposure: Exposure to the responsibilities listed above, with a strong understanding of the accounting and bookkeeping processes.
