We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a Pharmacist Specialist, you will play a crucial role in patient care, working closely with medical and nursing staff to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess prescriptions against legal requirements and the appropriateness of treatment with individual medicines, taking into account the condition being treated, concomitant conditions, and other medicines and results of laboratory tests as available.
- Accurately assemble and label dispensed medicines in accordance with legal requirements and SOPs.
- Deliver accurate information to medical and nursing staff, and to patients, in an appropriate and sensitive manner, about therapeutic effects, side effects, and potential adverse effects of medicines.
- Supervise cytotoxic and radio-pharmacy medicines in a restricted area (gloved cabinet) in protective clothing.
- Professional Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Enhanced DBS (provided by NHSP).
- Able to travel to other sites within the Trust and to venues for training.
- Weekly pay to give you access to your wages more quickly.
