Safety Engineering Opportunities

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Safety Solutions Specialist to join our Product Safety team at BAE Systems. In this role, you will be responsible for facilitating the implementation of relevant product safety processes and production of deliverables.

The ideal candidate will have experience in product safety management processes and techniques, with a strong background in report writing and developing safety arguments. They will also be familiar with hazard identification meetings and have a Chartered Engineer certification or equivalent professional registration.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Canadian River Class Destroyer programme, a long-term global naval project that offers exposure across the business and potential international travel. You will be reporting into the Product Safety Manager and will be part of a dynamic team working with international customers and stakeholders.

In this role, you will take responsibility for product safety assessment against major subsystems or key complex technologies, and develop safety arguments to go into the safety report. You will also organise and facilitate HAZIDs and review meetings, contributing to other HAZIDs when required.

The salary for this position is up to £60,100 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer a range of benefits, including a competitive pension scheme, enhanced annual leave allowance, and a Company contributed Share Incentive Plan.
