School Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic individual to provide pastoral support to students in a secondary school setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, senior leaders, and other support staff to identify students in need of additional pastoral care.
Responsibilities will include providing one-to-one mentoring, group activities, and contributing to the development and implementation of pastoral support plans for individual students.
The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development in pastoral care and education is essential, as is a genuine passion for supporting the personal and social development of young people.
GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above are required, with a degree qualification desirable but not essential for this role.
To be successful in this position, applicants should be able to maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and behaviour.
As a member of the school team, the successful candidate will be expected to adhere to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures, including undergoing an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
