Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Designer to join our team at North Yorkshire Council. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to utilise their expertise and contribute to the success of our projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing pre-construction information, identifying hazards, and coordinating health and safety files. A competitive salary between £40,000 - £50,000 per year, company pension, and hybrid working are offered.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all pre-construction information and present to tendering contractors.
  • Identify any hazards and issues in accordance with health and safety legislation and offer workable solutions to the design team.
  • Coordinate and prepare Health and Safety files in relation to projects and prepare and issue F10 notifications where needed.
  • Deliver projects across the North of England, with the opportunity to travel to sites and oversee projects from design concept to completion.


Requirements:
  • Hold a recognised design qualification.
  • Ideally have the NEBOSH General / Construction Certificate.
  • Significant experience in a CDM Advisory / PD role and understanding of construction and design processes.
  • Be computer literate and competent with Microsoft Office suite of programmes (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Hold a full clean UK driving licence.
