We are seeking a skilled Geographical Information Systems (GIS) professional to join our Applications Development team in North Yorkshire, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and implementing GIS applications for North Yorkshire Police, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, and the Office for Policing, Fire, Crime and Commissioning.
The estimated salary for this role is around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description
The GIS Technician will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing GIS applications to support operational policing, emergency services, and crime prevention initiatives.

- Providing expert advice on geospatial analysis and mapping techniques to inform decision-making.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in a relevant field such as geography, computer science, or environmental science.
- Proficiency in GIS software packages such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
