Job Overview

Nova Training is committed to delivering high-quality education and support services. We are seeking an experienced Academic Mentor to join our team in Colchester.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and assess learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of learners, ensuring they can work confidently, effectively, and independently in life and work.
  • To create and implement delivery strategies that maximize progression opportunities for learners.
  • To design and deliver a creative curriculum that meets the unique needs of individual students.
  • To establish effective relationships with learners, parents/carers, and staff, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • To achieve company Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Individual Performance Plans.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in 14-24 provision.
  • Full Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, PTLLS, DTLLS).
  • Experience of teaching students within the field of Autism and/or Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • To be a patient, resilient, and motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • To have vision, innovation, and passion for teaching and learning.
  • Experience, knowledge, and understanding of safeguarding processes.

Salary Range: £21,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications), reflecting the cost of living in the region.
