Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Academic Library Tutor to join our team at New Way Tuition Ltd. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who share our commitment to innovative education approaches that foster a love for learning.

About the Role:

As an Outreach Tutor, you will play a vital role in providing academic support and mentoring to students who require individualized attention. You will conduct one-to-one and group sessions in various subjects, including Maths, English, PSHE, interventions, and mentoring, at pupils' homes, local libraries, and schools.

The ideal candidate should possess strong Literacy and Maths skills, alongside experience working with children, particularly those with SEND. A current Enhanced DBS is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspire and motivate students to overcome obstacles and achieve their academic goals.
  • Build strong connections with students and their families through clear communication and genuine care.
  • Adapt teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in tutoring or teaching, especially with diverse age groups. A QTS (QTLS), PGCE, or Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Maths, or a related field is preferred. Additionally, flexibility to adapt teaching methods and access to ongoing training and professional development opportunities are essential.
