Business Development/Sales Engineer Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Development/Sales Engineer to join our clients UK Sales team based in Gainsborough, a World leading supplier of Filling, Sealing and Packing solutions for the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
  • Generate new accounts and explore new market areas to drive sales growth.
  • Provide customer support, including taking enquiries, raising cost schedules and quotations.
  • Attend sales visits nationally and internationally to build relationships and identify new business opportunities.
  • Project manage all intercompany sales enquiries of UK manufactured products.
  • Raise order acknowledgements and works orders, and liaise with the accounts department to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for sister Companies/Sales offices, including North America.
  • Organise exhibitions and trade shows as required, and manage relationships with agents and distributors.
  • Assist with spare parts orders and maintenance agreements.
Requirements:
  • A high achiever with a proven track record of driving business growth.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver solutions.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with different teams.
  • Confident and dynamic, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Industry experience in labelling and/or packaging is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and experience with CRM systems is a bonus.
  • A full, clean driving licence is required.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with a willingness to travel overseas.
