Luxury Travel Store Manager Opportunity


This leading luxury tour operator is seeking an experienced Luxury Travel Sales Manager to lead a team of skilled travel consultants in their busy Cambridge retail travel agency. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work for a multi-award-winning travel company that prioritizes its team's well-being and success.



Role Overview
  • Drive retail sales performance, meeting and exceeding targets to contribute to business growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to convert bookings, increasing top-line figures while ensuring operational efficiency.
  • Monitor the financial performance of staff, ensuring optimal productivity and profitability.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and administration of the store, including developing local marketing initiatives and campaigns.


Key Responsibilities
  • Accountable for achieving budgeted operating profits through effective sales management.
  • Manage the store's overall performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating exceptional service standards and promoting a positive team culture.
  • Foster strong relationships with clients and partners, driving sales and revenue growth.


Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing a retail travel store or tour operator sales/call centre, with a track record of delivering sales results and excellent customer service.
  • A genuine passion for travel, particularly long-haul destinations, with a deep understanding of the commercial aspects of tour operating.
  • Excellent working knowledge of at least one travel agent or tour operator's reservation system.
  • A strong communicator with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
