About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Al Duomo in Brighton. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of our dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and preparation
  • Oversee the daily running of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Lead a small team of chefs and kitchen assistants, providing guidance and support as needed
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain a positive and productive kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role
  • Strong background in Italian cooking, with a keen interest in preparing authentic dishes from scratch
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to work set shifts, with a commitment to maintaining a good work-life balance

  • A competitive hourly rate and salary of up to £39,000
