We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Head of Year. This is a non-teaching role that will support the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing, leading, and developing systems and procedures to enhance standards of achievement, behaviour, and personal development for all pupils in the year group.
  • Support the Year Leader in the professional leadership and management of the year team and student cohort.
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school environment that values the contribution of all staff.
Requirements:
  • A willingness and ability to support our Catholic Ethos and Mission.
  • Knowledge of a range of positive strategies to deal with whole classes and groups of pupils.
  • Good interpersonal and presentational skills.
  • High expectations of pupil attainment and behaviour.
  • Forward thinking, visionary, receptive to change and able to work under pressure.
  • A good track record of monitoring student progress to ensure all achieve.
  • Inspire, challenge and motivate pupils.
  • A sense of humour.
