Pastoral Support Officer Job Description
This role requires a dedicated and skilled individual to work closely with pupils across all key stages, aged 11 to 16 years. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds.

Job Details:
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Location: Burnley-based school
  • Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum
  • Duration: Until July 2025, with potential for permanent placement

Responsibilities:
  1. Support students' emotional and social development through one-to-one guidance and pastoral care.
  2. Collaborate with the Behavioural Manager to create and implement effective strategies for managing challenging behaviours.
  3. Visit students' homes to provide additional support and ensure engagement with education.
  4. Monitor attendance records and develop interventions to improve student attendance.
  5. Provide ongoing support to students, addressing their emotional and social needs.

Requirements:
  • A commitment to making a positive impact on students' lives.
  • An understanding of working with students with EHC plans, ASC, and SEBD.
