About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis. As an Accounts Assistant with experience in processing payroll, you will be responsible for administering and processing the company payroll, providing administrative support with other financial business processes, and being the first point of contact for all payroll-related enquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and process the payroll, ensuring accuracy and adherence to set deadlines.
  • Provide administrative support with other financial business processes, including producing and preparing payroll BACS payment listings and supporting reports.
  • Be the first point of contact for all payroll-related enquiries, providing timely and effective support to staff.
  • Liaise with other agencies relating to payroll deductions as required.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure seamless day-to-day operations and provide support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in payroll processing and administration.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills, with the ability to balance cash and tills and recognize anomalies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and other stakeholders.
