Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving results for the Structures Buried Bridge product lines, including Plate Bridges, Precast Arch bridges, MSE Walls, and RED-E-DUCT Precast duct bank. The Senior Leader has direct responsibility for the commercial and engineering aspects of the product lines, including the P&L, and maintains dotted line responsibility for manufacturing and operations.

This individual works with the Area Field Marketing/Sales leadership team and is accountable for driving effectiveness and results of promotional programs and customer experience for the associated products. The position provides product strategy for all aspects of Buried Structures, including regulatory, technical/engineering, consultative marketing, product cost & pricing, sales, and manufacturing.

The position is also accountable for the execution of these strategies by the Field Marketing/Sales and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintains a strong working knowledge of Buried Bridge products, including applications, production facilities, capabilities, and limitations; margins and quality standards.
  • Leads team to develop and execute product line initiatives and strategies.
  • Leads team to develop and execute product line engineering strategies and oversight.
  • Assists with initial and ongoing training for new and experienced field personnel for Buried Bridge products.
  • Leads team to provide guidance and direction to the Structures field marketing and sales teams regarding the most complicated technical matters and complex orders and/or applications for Buried Bridge products.
  • Provides engineering oversight on projects with high liability exposure and/or with key clients and customers.
  • Leads the development of tools to assist field personnel in promotion, solution development, pricing, and sales.
  • Assists field personnel and management team with strategic project pricing and bid strategy.
  • Routinely travels to ensure execution of strategies.
  • Maintains regular contact with Area Directors of Field Marketing/Sales and Manufacturing/Operations Directors to ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Transfers best practices to peers and cross-functionally within the organization.
Qualifications
  • Engineering degree or equivalent expertise gained through extensive experience and industry knowledge.
  • Broad engineering knowledge and extensive knowledge of the civil engineering industry.
  • Understanding of P&L, financials, margins, and profitability.
  • Management and leadership experience.
  • Thorough business knowledge in Marketing and Sales.
  • High-level leadership, negotiating, and communications skills.
  • Ability to accomplish results through others.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and CRM.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of time.
