Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Clinical Services Director to join our inpatient services based at Bowmere Hospital, Chester. The postholder will work closely with our dynamic care group and strong clinical and operational leadership team to ensure service provision is clinically led and managerial enabled; supporting clinical engagement and leadership.

Main Duties
  • Oversee Quality Assurance, ensuring high-quality, safe, and effective services are delivered effectively to exceed targets. Report and deliver on incidents, action plans, and continuous service improvements.
  • Develop an open, inclusive management style that creates a culture of excellence and collaboration. Efficiently manage resources to ensure delivery of safe, effective patient-centered care and exceed targets.
  • Lead a culture where staff are enabled to be the best they can be, demonstrating commitment to our Trust visions, values, continuous improvement, and ensuring the effective management and delivery of services within their portfolio.
  • Translate strategic plans into operational delivery in clinical services, responsible for performance, quality, safety, and service.
About the Role

The Senior Clinical Services Director will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Clinical Services in delivering high-quality patient-centered care. This includes overseeing Quality Assurance, developing an open management style, leading a culture of excellence, and translating strategic plans into operational delivery.

Requirements
  • Recognised qualifications to degree level or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of modern service delivery and national plans for health and social care.
  • Budget management.
  • Understanding of project management methodology and approaches.
  • Understanding of service improvement tools and techniques.
  • Knowledge of clinical governance and the Health Care Standards.
